What is BasildON Voices?
BasildON Creative People and Places is an organisation which aims to provide more people opportunities to commission, create and participate in cultural activities in Basildon. You may have seen the beautiful new street artwork in the town centre which was organised by them!
To ensure that their art program benefits all of the people in the borough, Creative BasildON want to connect with as many local people as possible. From business owners and community organisers to parents, singletons and pensioners.
They do this through ‘Community Voice Forums’ which are held in Basildon, Billericay, Wickford, Laindon and Pitsea four times per year. As a Community Voice, attendees get to:
- Support the decision-making process and help develop the Creative BasildON programme.
- Get free tickets to all Creative BasildON events and selected cultural events.
- Support from Creative BasildON to develop your own projects and cultural events.
- Networking opportunities with other local people.
- A free dinner served at meetings.
