BBW CVS is a registered charity that provides support to charities and non profit groups in the Basildon Borough.
We have a small office based in The George Hurd Centre where our small, friendly team operate from.
In the coming months we will be launching a new mobile app in the form of a hyper-local directory of activities, services and support that can be accessed by members of the public.
The Role
As someone who enjoys working with data, you'll help us with a variety of tasks including:
- Data entry - inputting activity, event and support service information onto our database
- Sourcing information on activities, events and support services by carrying out online research and contacting organisations by email and over the phone
- Quality checking the data on the database ensuring it is accurate and up to date
- Helping to deal with enquiries relating to the data held on the app
What skills do I need?
We are looking for volunteers who:
- Are competent IT users
- Enjoy data entry
- Have a good eye for detail
- Have good English and grammar skills for both inputting data and quality checking data
- Enjoy being in an office environment
Training will be given on the database and support will be provided by BBW CVS staff.

Availability Details
We are looking for volunteers who could commit up to 4 hours per week on this role. Days and times are flexible depending on volunteer availability.
