Peaceful Place is a small charity supporting working age people living with early on-set dementia. We provide various day care activities of arts, crafts, sports etc and we also offer breakfast, lunch and afternoon tea. We are a small charity with big ambitions but we need volunteers to help develop and grow the service.
We are seeking volunteers to attend our day care service in Basildon to support our members, living with early on-set dementia, with various arts, crafts, music and sports projects.
We are keen for any music lovers out there to help develop a choir, create music projects, etc. We are open to all ideas of creative activities, so please make contact to discuss any ideas or interests you may have.
We are also keen to develop walking football and arrange ‘walk and talk’ events around the park.
What skills do I need?
You do not need any qualifications for these roles, just a willingness to engage with our members, as we will provide you with on-site training and development. If you have an interest in creating art, music or sports, then we would love to hear from you.
