Discover Maldon Ambassadors will be the first point of contact for local residents and visitors to Maldon in the Visitor Information Centre.
The Ambassador role is to provide information about Maldon and help the public to get the most out of their visit.
Detailed role description:
- Greet visitors and residents in the Information Centre
- Provide advice to visitors about the attractions, transport, accommodation available in the local area, local services and activities
- Recommend restaurants and popular entertainment activities
- Assist visitors and residents to find the information they require about local events, venues and travel information, using printed leaflets, searching the internet and printing off information
- Deal with queries from visitors and residents as appropriate
- Distribute recycling sacks and food waste bags as required
- Promote Maldon as a tourist destination
- Keep \'Visit Maldon\' advised of new events
Your
day-to-day duties might include:
- answering customer queries in person
- finding information using computer systems, leaflets, timetables, and guidebooks
- setting up displays within the centre and re-stocking literature
- keeping up to
date with local accommodation, places to visit, activities and events
