The principle role of the volunteer will be to give people the opportunity to benefit from physical exercise and the therapeutic advantages of growing and planting on a community allotment based in central Clacton on Sea. Importantly, it also makes people more aware of the advantages of fresh produce and can therefore help to improve their lifestyle and well being. .
There is increasing evidence that gardening is very beneficial for mental health issues as well as the more obvious physical activity attributes.
Anyone who would like to know more about the project can telephone CVS Tendring on 01255 425692.
