The
Reading Rooms in Billericay High St was founded in 1864 and has provided Rooms
for Hire since that time. It is run by a small team of Trustees who are all
Volunteers and we are looking for somebody to undertake the role of Lettings
Officer. This is an unpaid role, although all expenses are reimbursed. The
duties cover the Hiring of the Rooms and the paperwork involved, although we
are in the process of installing a computer system that will cover a lot of
this paperwork. It also involves showing a new Hirers over the Premises.
What skills do I need?
Some
experience of dealing with people both face to face and on the telephone would
be an asset and some computer skills. The current Trustee would be able to
explain the work involved and be available to assist in the short term.
