The role of the Hearing Aid Support Service Meet and Greet Host is to provide a warm and friendly welcome to our service users at our community sessions, and to help set up/clear down sessions with our technical volunteers.

We are looking for volunteers to join our small friendly team to help those with hearing loss more clearly. Once trained you will attend our Hearing Aid Support Service Sessions to welcome people and be a supportive listening ear.

What skills do I need?

be personable

be a good listener

be patient

understand hearing loss and know how to communicate clearly with those living with hearing loss (training provided)

understand how a hearing aid works (training provided)

able to give accurate advice (training provided)

know about different referral paths (training provided)

Availability Details

Flexible Minimum 2 hours per month, to help as hearing aid support sessions which are held monthly. Volunteers can opt to support as many sessions as they like.
