Do you like meeting and talking to new people? We are looking for meet and greet volunteers at our Belfairs Woodland Centre near Leigh-on-Sea.
The centre is situated in a stunning ancient woodland and is a central part of the Daws Heath Living Landscape providing habitat for the wildlife of south Essex.
What skills do I need?
Our woodland centre welcomes walkers, education groups and holds many popular fundraising events throughout the year. As a meet and greet volunteer you will welcome visitors, let them know more about activities and the site, take bookings and generally have a chat with members of the public.
No previous knowledge is required but any additional knowledge about wildlife or the local area would be useful. We will provide full training on our work, using our till and booking systems and common questions about volunteering.
The ideal person will be friendly and personable and be comfortable approaching people from all backgrounds and making them feel welcome.
The hours will be on an 'as and when' basis with no regular commitment required, perfect for someone short on time or unsure when they might be available in the future.
