Stow Maries Great War Aerodrome, are proud to have received the Queen’s Award for Volunteering and now offers you the chance to join their award winning team. They continue to develop the site into one of the premier visitor attractions in Essex and their volunteers are playing a vital part in making this happen..
The aerodrome are looking for people to work in their authentic Airmen’s Mess Cafe, a unique food outlet. As well as catering for regular visitors, the Mess often host coach parties and other groups of varying sizes.
No previous skills are required, only a willingness to learn basic till management and customer service. Hours are flexible but will include weekends, when we are busiest. Come and join our friendly team under the capable management of our experienced Kitchen Supervisors.
What skills do I need?
No experience is needed, just a willingness to work as part of the team.
Stow Maries holds regular recruitment sessions which include backstage tours of the site.
Training is provided for all roles and most volunteering hours are flexible.

Our Site is generally open from 10 am - 4 pm throughout the year although the days vary depending on the season. Volunteers can opt for regular or flexible hours.
