City of Chelmsford Mencap is urgently seeking volunteers to assist students on its online learning platform, The Virtual Academy. Our students are adults with a learning disability who are keen to develop their life, work and social skills. Our lifelong learning service went virtual at the beginning of the pandemic and delivers a wide range of courses, from Art to Yoga.
As an online volunteer, you will assist tutors with the delivery of classes, and monitor and support students’ learning. The Virtual Academy runs five days a week and classes are approximately 1.5 hours in duration. We have vacancies in various classes, so you will be able to choose times – and classes – that suit you.
City of Chelmsford Mencap’s staff and volunteers are committed to helping everyone with a learning disability reach their potential; we would love you to be part of our team!
