Peer Support Volunteer, to lead a group to take part in a social activity where the focus does or does not have to be mental health.

To work with a group of peers who are all going through their own mental health recovery journey. To developing social relationships, make use of necessary facilities or services in the local community such as using public transport and visiting local venues.

What skills do I need?

Expert by experience, you have your own experience of mental health and are on your own recovery journey.

Good communication and people skills.

Compassionate, understanding attitude and to recognise the unique contributions of others.

Being able to use your own initiative but be able to ask for help when you need it.
