Social Interaction

← Back to search results

We welcome volunteers to provide social interaction for our members at our Wednesday and Thursday evening social clubs – we run a varied timetable but members are always keen to chat to people, play cards or board games or to join in with music and dancing now that restrictions have been eased.

What skills do I need?

Communication skills and patience will be a great asset.  Our members have a learning disability so patience and understanding is very important to enable them to convey their choices and requirements.

We would need to be able to undertake an enhanced DBS on any volunteers, we are able to cover public transport costs if required.
