We are looking for people who would like to join our team of lovely volunteers within the Toy Library. Available for 2 hours once a week or once a fortnight.
The role would include registering new members and issuing toys and play equipment out.
Ensuring records are kept of all money taken.
Recording details of returned toys.
General supervising of the room whilst sessions are open.
Recording and coding new toys for hire.
Taking donations for toys we have for sale and recording sale.
Cleaning, checking and shelving toys, keeping shelves tidy and clean
Tidying/cleaning at the end of the session making sure everything is locked away Help with fundraising events such as fetes, raffles. There are opportunities to be more involved, holding additional sessions (SEN, arts and crafts for example) if wanted to. Full training will be given and a DBS check will need to be carried out.
What skills do I need?
The ideal volunteer would need to enjoy being around children and be proactive in organising.
No previous experience is necessary as full training will be given.
