Uttlesford Foodbank are looking for Trustees to engage in the needs of the Foodbank & support the management team.
Uttlesford Foodbank was started in 2014 and became an independent Foodbank under the umbrella of the Trussell Trust in 2017. Demand on our service has risen exponentially since then, with demand on our services increasing 3-fold since the beginning of the pandemic.
They especially welcome applicants from those with lived experience of the issues our service users experience themselves.
What skills do I need?
What are we looking for?
- Experience of working in the charitable sector in a senior role.
- Significant fundraising experience.
- Experience of working within vulnerable communities or groups of people, safeguarding experience would be an advantage.
- Knowledge of the issues surrounding food poverty.
- Local knowledge, particularly of the Great Dunmow or Stansted areas.

Availability Details
Estimate of time needed: 0-5 hours / month Meetings once every quarter. Engagement with management team in between. We ask all trustees to volunteer at the warehouse once a year.
