Peaceful Place is a Young Onset/Early diagnosis Dementia Day Centre which supports around 60 people and their families. Members are diverse in age, background and needs. They have different dementias, at various stages, with diverse physical, cognitive and communication manifestations. Peaceful Place focuses on strengths enabling people to help themselves. The Day centre offers activities which are enjoyable and health promoting with the intention of maximising abilities, relearning lost skills and developing ways of coping with deficits. Peaceful Place is a "member led" centre where social interaction and peer support are the cornerstones.

What skills do I need?

Previous experience as a Trustee or experience with Charity Governance.
Experience/skills in any of the following areas:
HR, Accounts, Fundraising, Marketing, I.T. , Social Care, H&S would be ideal.

4/5 Trustee meetings per year with possibility of Sub-Committee meetings also. As much or as little involvement with the Day Centre as you would wish.
