The Billericay Men's shed hold sessions 3 days a week. Our Wednesday session, renamed “Happy Wednesday” as we have so much fun, is for men and women living with dementia.

As a volunteer your role will be to support the men and ladies with differing activities such as painting, sanding wood work, quizzes, games and other general activities. This is all done with lots of chatting and laughter over a cup of tea and biscuits.

We are also keen to hear from volunteers who have specific skills they would be willing to share with our attendees.

What skills do I need?

We are looking for volunteers who able to participate in the above mentioned activities (none are too challenging).

Volunteers are also required to have patience to support our members in a calm and controlled manner, and importantly to enjoy having a chat over tea and biscuits.
