Volunteer Gardener for the Hospice

To assist the team in maintaining the hospice gardens to a high standard.  Depending on the season and what you are looking for, we have a huge variety of tasks in and around the gardens and have something to suit everyone.  There are a team of dedicated garden volunteers who between them keep our wonderful grounds looking pristine all year round - from planting to weeding and everything in-between there is always something to do!   Come as a group, with a friend or solo - we would love your help!

Tasks may include:

  • Tending/weeding flowerbeds
  • Cutting grass
  • Planting and caring for herb garden
  • Maintain water features
  • Planting summer and winter bedding plants
  • Tending fruit trees and harvesting fruit

What skills do I need?

An enthusiasm for gardening.

Physical ability to fulfil the requirements of the role including safe moving and handling
