As a result of long weeks spent isolating due to COVID19, some people (especially older people of those with mobility issues) have lost confidence in walking outside on their own.
Our Walk Buddy service is providing short term companionship to such people. A friendly volunteer will meet the person needing support at their garden gate or door. They will then have a nice walk together, keeping at an appropriate social distance and following all current guidelines.
If you think this is something you would enjoy please do make and enquiry and one of our team will contact you to discuss the possibilities.
This small service is making such a difference to the lives of people in our communities who would otherwise not have the confidence to step outside again.
We need walk buddies in all areas of Tendring, including Manningtree ,Ardleigh, Elmstead Market and Brightlingsea
